OUR STORY

Advanced Therapy Solutions was founded by two friends, Niel Visser, DPT, and Dillen Hartley, OT. After immigrating from South Africa, they met in Spartanburg and quickly discovered a shared passion for the science of therapy, the power of human connection, and a deep commitment to community service. Guided by these values, they established Advanced Therapy Solutions, opening their doors on April 1, 2003, with a team of just four staff members.

In 2007, under Dillen’s leadership, the practice expanded to include a dedicated pediatric division offering Occupational and Physical Therapy services for children. This created Advanced Therapy Solutions Kids (ATS Kids) and began serving clients and the “whole family” in both Spartanburg and Greenville counties.

Today, ATS Kids operates as its own independent organization. Under the same trusted leadership, skilled therapists, and core values, ATS Kids remains a unique practice, encouraging continuous professional growth while nurturing a supportive, caring, and respectful environment for therapists, clients, and their families.

ATS Kids is honored and grateful for the opportunity to partner with valued community services, including speech therapy providers, private schools, aquatic centers, outdoor programs, and family support groups. These relationships allow ATS Kids to forward their vision and mission better serving children and their families.
