Lena McLeod
Lena is a Certified Occupational therapist who rejoined ATS kids in 2024 after spending 3 years in the Atlanta area. Originally from Germany where she earned her degree as an Occupational therapist, she worked with both pediatric and adult populations at a private practice, treating patients in both clinical and home settings. She is iLs certified, IM trained and is pursuing additional training in DIR/floortime and reflex integration.
Lena earned her degree in Occupational Therapy from Greenville Tech in 2013, and began her career in a skilled nursing facility where she worked for over two years before first joining ATS in 2017. Her favorite aspect of the job is experiencing the small, magical moments of connection and engagement with children and witnessing their progress. She finds joy in watching how much children enjoy therapy, and how they grow through play.
Lena now lives in Simpsonville with her husband, two daughters, two cats and their Golden Retriever Mia. Although her extended family still resides in Germany, Lena has created a warm home life in South Carolina. As a child, she loved playing outside, playing the piano, creating outdoor kitchens, and later enjoyed playing volleyball during her teenage years.
